Broken Windows Theory

“Leave a broken window on a building, vandals will break more. Leave all those broken windows, squatters will get in and occupy the building. Leave the squatters in the building, and they will start a fire inside it.” This theory was introduced by James Q Wilson and George L Kelling in 1982 in an article titled “Broken Windows”. It states that visible signs of crime, antisocial behavior and civil disorder create an urban environment that encourages further crime and disorder.

Entropy

It is the natural order of things. The universe tends towards chaos. To the universe, it is neutral. To humans, it is lethal. Maintaining such a complex structure as the human body is a 24/7 battle against nature. Entropy is direct harm to our integrity. To live is to practice negentropy. There is no sacred mission or hidden meaning. There is only the persistence of structure until decay. Money is the most concentrated agent of negentropy.
